VoIP Sets

The VoIP telephone service is offered to departments that have the cabling infrastructure in place to support VoIP service. The VoIP phones are programmed on the Cisco Call Manager which provides new features and functionalities that have not been available in the past on the legacy phone systems.  All VoIP phones are offered on a purchase basis.

The purchase rate includes the required Cisco Right To Use (RTU) license fee and one year warranty from date of purchase.  IT Services provides a variety of phone models that are designed to fit every business environment at UCLA. All VoIP phones come with a full-duplex speakerphone, liquid crystal display (LCD), and dynamic soft keys for call features and functions. Softphones are available if you do not need a physical phone. The Softphone service uses the Cisco Jabber software, which must be installed and configured on the softphone device by the customer or designated local IT Support staff.  The Jabber client can be installed on a variety of devices, including desktops, laptops, tablets or smartphones. The service may be used as a supplement to an existing physical VoIP phone or to replace a standard land line physical phone.
