IT Services owns and maintains a private 800 MHz Radio system on campus. This allows IT Services to provide portable and mobile radio coverage to various UCLA public safety departments on campus. Departments utilizing the system are the Police Department (UCPD), Fire Department (UCFD), CHS Security, Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S), Facilities Management, Parking Enforcement, and Parking Services. Customers can purchase or rent individual radio units. Rentals are available on a monthly or weekly basis.
