Package A
Basic Line Features
Includes dial tone line, station-to-station dialing across the entire UCLA telephone network, and the following features:

  • Call Forward - Allows a user to forward all incoming calls to another campus directory number.
  • 3-Way Calling - Provides the ability to establish a three-way call, consult privately with either party, or transfer the call to another campus number. 3-Way Calling consists of:
    • 3-Way Conference - Allows a user to establish a conference call with two other parties.
    • Call Transfer - Allows a user to transfer both on- and off-campus calls to another campus telephone number.
    • Consultation Hold - Allows a user to place a call on hold and consult privately with a second call.
  • Caller ID Standard Block - Displays UCLA 's main telephone number (310-825-4321) to non-UCLA recipients.
  • Last Number Redial - Allows a user to automatically redial the last number
    called from his/her telephone set.

All features associated with this Telephone Feature Package are automatically assigned to a telephone line/set unless incompatible with other requested features and/or services options.

Package B
Basic Line Features with Voicemail
Includes dial tone line, station-to-station dialing across the entire UCLA telephone network, and the following features:

  • Call Forward - Allows a user to forward all incoming calls to another campus directory number.
  • 3-Way Calling - Provides the ability to establish a three-way call, consult privately with either party, or transfer the call to another campus number. 3-Way Calling consists of:
    • 3-Way Conference - Allows a user to establish a conference call with two other parties.
    • Call Transfer - Allows a user to transfer both on- and off-campus calls to another campus telephone number.
    • Consultation Hold - Allows a user to place a call on hold and consult privately with a second call.
  • Caller ID Standard Block - Displays UCLA 's main telephone number (310-825-4321) to non-UCLA recipients.
  • Last Number Redial - Allows a user to automatically redial the last number
    called from his/her telephone set.

Voicemail - The following additional features are provided free of charge when used to support voicemail service:

  • Call Forward Don't Answer - Allows calls to an unanswered directory number (DN) to be forwarded to VoiceNet (825-2222) as its predefined DN. If calls are not answered within 12 seconds (3 - 4 rings), they are automatically forwarded to the VoiceNet service.
  • Call Forward Busy - Allows calls to a busy DN to be forwarded to VoiceNet
    (825-2222) as its predefined DN.
  • Message Waiting Indicator - Alerts a user that a message is waiting in the voicemail mailbox. The message waiting notification is broken dial tone or LCD key indicator if provided on an Electronic Business Set (EBS).

Package C
Multi-Line Set Features
EBS Sets
Provides additional features commonly assigned to multi-line Electronic Business Sets (EBS). The following features are designed to compliment the line features assigned in Package Level A (Basic Line Service) or Package Level B (Basic Line Service with Voicemail):

  • Speed Call Short List (10 Numbers) - Allows a user to program a list of 10 frequently called numbers and access them by dialing a one-digit code instead of dialing the complete telephone number.
  • Group Intercom - Allows a user to communicate with internal staff by dialing a two or three digit Intercom number while keeping their campus Directory Number free to receive calls.
  • Name Display - Provides the ability to display a Name and/or Directory Number for calling and called parties on phones equipped with display.
  • Auto Dial- Allows a user to program a campus or non-campus (up to 24-digits in length) for one- touch memory dialing.
Features are provided at no additional charge.
